Yet another quiz to help you decide how to vote

Gravel? I’d never actually heard of him, and at this point he’s pretty much out of it, so it’s all a moot point. The ordering of everyone else is roughly as I would have guessed, although I didn’t expect such a big jump between Obama and Clinton. Nice to see that it correctly deduced that Huckabee and I live in different universes. I can’t decide if I actually want Huckabee to get the nomination in the hopes that he just has to then lose the election. I think not, though, ’cause there’s always that chance that he’d win. And then we’d have to move. And I’d be sad.

Who should you vote for?

Mike Gravel 114
Barack Obama 109
Hillary Clinton 57
John McCain -12
Ron Paul -33
Mike Huckabee -123

  1. Yes, Gravel is great. The big media really didn’t like him though (he criticized them) and they made fun of him for being angry about things (though they were things people should be angry about), so he took advantage of alternative media, namely Youtube.
    .
And he had the best campaign ad by far:

As for Huckabee, he’s totally insane but he has got a great name.

  3. Huck: There did seem to be strong sense of people mocking Gravel in ways that weren’t cool. And if people haven’t seen that add (I hadn’t) they definitely should. That is way too zen for prime time action hero couch potatoes, which I probably why I heard about the crazy Chuck Norris/Huckabee ad long before I heard about this one.

GKPN: Wow – politically activist poetry in my comments – way cool! (There’s more on his web site, as well as some cool videos.)

Based on my recent readings, Gravel certainly has some appeal, but I must say that I’m slightly concerned about his health (not his age, his health). The presidency is clearly a remarkably demanding job. Just look at the before and after shots; those four years age people in really remarkable ways. Given that he’s not feeling healthy enough to campaign, I’d be very concerned about his ability to do the job at this point. Maybe he’s one of those people that we should have elected 10 or 20 years ago…
