Brent’s done a refurb of Extended Abstract as part of his upgrade to WordPress 1.5, so you should go tell him how nice it is (or give him a bunch of crap like I did). In the process of telling him how nice it was, I chased down a few links that I hadn’t had time to click on before and turned up some cool images:
- The entries for The First Annual Art of Science Competition, including the cool “Transgenic neural stem cells” by John Dimos above.
- Some really cool images of pears (yeah, pears) by Russ Widstrand (which has a pretty interesting site design as well).
The Japanese cast-iron cooking tools were pretty nifty, too.

Coding, art, science, cooking, music …. no wonder I like to visit here. Galieo, Franklin and Jefferson should have been as multifaceted then we might have become something as a civilization.
