I live an Canada to make the search even more difficult. Ran into Jenaer Glas at a local shop who must have picked up three cups at a gift show and says they can't get any more. I've fallen in love with what I have and want more to be able to share with friends. Oh, they are lovely to the lip! I'd love to have a set of the cups with the lids. Mmm. Sure hope this new company realizes they have a dedicated market out there!

Adagio still sells essentially the same thing, although they now provide a metal infuser instead of the old glass one. I've never used oen with a metal infuser, and I haven't (yet) broken my glass infuser so it hasn't been an issue.

I ordered a bunch of beautiful display teas from www.kasora.com. They sent one of the glass tea makers like you have in your picture with my order, but when I went to order another one I see that they don't actually sell this particular item. Kasora is my favorite tea company, but I'm willing to go somewhere else to get this item. Any suggestions are welcome.

I love this.. if you break even one I will hunt u down and make you eat each sharde!!! lol j/k

I am now looking for the same but it's sold out everywhere... i am not looking forward to buying a metal infuser!!! eeew.

I want a back up glass.. I 've had mine for a year and it's not broken.. the reason I believe is:
(a) I only use it at work. at my desk. If it leaves my desk top or desk drawer, I am careful. I saved the box when I moved jobs and used it to transfer to my trunk then my house then to my new job. again with utmost care
(b) when I have to wash it I hold it with a good grip
(c) I only use the glass infuser, the cup is still in the box packaged as the day it was shipped.. it's too small for my tea greed. Instead I have a standard mug that is porcelain so I can stick IT in the microwave then lower the glass infuser into it slowly.

This has served me well over the years. I am now a little paranoid with it being glass though.. and although I'm careful I'm scared someone will bump into me or my heel will get stuf in my pants one day and i'll break the infuser.. I hate washing it and try not to wash it until it's tinted green from my fave green tea's then I give it a good scrubbign and rush back to my desk!

Anyway like I said it's sold out everywhere, so I'm hoping it will be available somewhere so I can snatch up one or two... dno't waste it if you have it!!!!!!

I don't know of any, but I've never looked. I guess I'd assumed that at the least one would be able to buy from them directly, but that doesn't appear to be case, which is a bummer. I'd love to hear if anyone else knows of a source for this glassware.

Are there any good US retail sources of Trendglas products besides Adagio? I believe Adagio was the official (read sole) US representative for Jenaer, but there are so many great products that Adagio doesn't carry, namely the small brewers like zylindro/zyclo, because Adagio would rather sell their own versions, such as the IngenuiTea.

Definitely. I love watching non-display teas (but usually teas with large, whole leaves) float and dance in the glass as they steep. I've nearly run into people in the hall on the way back to my office with a fresh cup brewing because I so busy watching the leaves drift about.

And the Zylindro/Zyclo is just a wonderful office cup/pot combo. The only downside is that it can be tricky to clean the leaves out of the little slots at the bottom of the filter. I've found that my library card works beautifully for that, though. :-)
