A cool afternoon of hip-hop

Sub-Evil and I just got back from an afternoon hip-hop concert on campus. Over the course of two hours we got to see Me and U Crew, Kanser, and The Crest. Nothing earth shattering, but it was a fun, and it was really cool because it was Sub-Evil’s first hip-hop show (these things usually being late at night and 18+ or 21+). Having a 12 year old in the audience was also a somewhat novel experience for the musicians, as was playing at 3 in the afternoon. (”Usually we don’t play to audiences this sober.”)

Afterwards we grabbed some goodies (a shirt for Sub-Evil and 2 CDs), and the Kanser folks were digging my Afro-Punk t-shirt, which was cool.

One man’s static is another man’s music.
One man’s teacher is another man’s student.
One man’s religion is another man’s panic.
