LaTeX for WordPress!

I just discovered via Abstract Nonsense that there’s now built-in support for LaTeX in WordPress! Now that’s way cool…

That would be wordpress.com. We independent folks need to install it all ourselves….

Oh, damn. I didn’t catch that annoying detail – thanks for pointing that out. For those (like me) that have your own independent WordPress install, there is a LaTeX plugin that does much the same thing. Not surprisingly, it (by default), assumes you have LaTeX installed on your server, which I suspect would be a fatal requirement for use. There is apparently an option using mimeTeX, which looks like a damnedly useful little beast all on its own. I should really try installing these, but I doubt that I’ll find/make the time anytime soon, so no holding of breath please…
