Looking for band whose name sounds like “run-velope”

I just caught a very cool song (totally missed the track name – sorry) on Dandelion Radio by a band whose name sounded something like “runvelope”, i.e., “run” with the tail end of “envelope”. Attempts at finding said band via web search have failed, leading to crushing doubts about the omniscience of the intarweb.

Please help restore my shattered confidence by telling me who the hell I was listening to, and where I might peruse more of their music!

Thanks.

  1. There is a band called The Envelopes which I’m very fond of… even if this isn’t the band, you should check them out!

  2. HI Nic,
I’d help you look if I had more to go on. Does the song have lyrics? If it does, then a search for the refrain, or some really stand out bit from the body, usually works for me. I use the phrase with the add on “music lyrics” or just “lyrics” and I can often find what I’m looking for, without the name of the group or the song.

  3. Thanks to you both!

Brent: I don’t think it was Envelope, but I’ll try to listen to their stuff on-line and see if it might fit.

Dori: Unfortunately it was “live” radio and I didn’t catch anything but the name of the band, and that only because they repeated it twice. I think they’ll post their playlists in a few days, so maybe I’ll be able to figure it out when that happens.

  4. Hi there,

Since your original post, we’ve completely redesigned and restructured our website. Have a look at the ‘tracklists’ page for November 2007 (it’s vastly easier to navigate and find information now). The track you’re after is by a band called Romvelope, played in Dubster’s show.

    Cheers,

  5. Thanks a ton – that’s a big help (and a big improvement!).

    Best wishes!
