It was anything released during the previous year, including session or live tracks recorded for his show. I guess because of his status and listenership, many of the tracks that got in were by bands he'd played. Same rules apply with our Dandelion Radio Festive Fifty, and Radio 1 decided they wanted us to carry on the legacy. Actually, John Peel’s Festive Fifties weren’t limited to just tracks he’d played on his show.
