The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Oddity. This movie is under pinned by such a cool idea, following a life lived backwards, but what exactly is the point? The special effects were spectacular but the story was for the most part pretty ho hum. Once again African Americans were merely on hand to take care of the white folks and had no agency of their own. There were a couple of very emotional moments near the end but the pay off just wasn’t worth the investment of time and money.
