I loved this – nothing like the blindingly obvious to make the point, eh? Sadly, we could solve a lot of the world’s problems with this sort of advice. “Mr. President, if you feel like invading a country for no terribly good reason, maybe you should count to 10 and work on your coloring books for a bit.”

Berg, in my opinion, did not better than anyone else. He felt ashamed to admit the relationship with Hanna, and even to visit her when she got in the prison. Hanna is so sensitive, she felt his constraint when she holded him, so everything became chinchin, not communication. She knew Berg didn’t have the courage to face her or the past.

So strong was her self-contemptuous that she could never accept the pity of the “Kid”. Her ending was not a choice, it was an ending.

This is coming to Winchester next year, and I was thinking about going to see it, so I’ll move it up from a ‘possible’ to a ‘probable’ now.

I was also terribly excited when I saw the trailer and recognised a chinese pictograph character from the Mandarin lessons I’m doing currently

I’m cavorting abroad for the next few weeks so there’s no rush on all that stuff I dropped in your lap.

We’re off to another Landmark property when we get back, Castle of Park, which looks way cool. We’ll let you know how it goes. Methwold Old Vicarage was well worth a visit too if you’re ever headed in that direction.
