We have the reverse here. They know about our street, but their satellite imagery still shows the whole apartment complex area as waste ground.

As far as Google Maps knows, we live on a dead end street … even though it was punched through to a new housing area 2 years ago. The new streets with the new houses are shown, but not the connection. Go figure.

OmegaMom: Wow – that’s really scary! Let us hope that there aren’t sat nav systems out there sending the unwary off 20 foot drops.

Har! In my mom’s town, there are some streets that stop abruptly at the top of large rocks, then continue 20 feet below. Google Maps shows these as through streets…
