Not all battles are fought with a sword
The biology club here at UMM runs a cool fund raiser now and again where you get to have your photo taken with one of their snakes. I passed the snake photo table on my way to my Software Design and Development class this morning, and thought “Hey, we ought to get our picture taken with a snake!”. So we did :-).

No tag for this post.The Tree of Life web project has picked up this photo I took of a Ptarmigan when we were in Alaska last summer. (Go here to see how they have it classified and credited.) Tree of Life is a really cool web site, and it’s pretty spiffy that they’ve got one of my photos there. Of course they have literally thousands of photos there. Still, if the goal is to be a footnote in a textbook, then this may be as good a bet as I’ve got :-).
