I’ve just returned home after nearly a solid month on the road for business and family vacation. So, so behind on so many things (including photos and Flickr!).

Our last trip was a fine week with my parents in Arkansas, where we had much cooler weather than one might expect for this time of year. We even had one really nice, gentle rain, which was an excellent excuse to stay inside and read. Or sit out in the rain if you’re a ceramic frog :-).

The50 States Project looks like a potentially interesting idea:

Each photographer lives in one of the 50 States and during the year long project each photographer will represent the State where they live. Every two months each photographer will be sent an assignment by e-mail, they then have two months to produce one image in response. The images must represent both their style and the State in which they live.

The first challenge, “People”, has been posted, including the two photos included here. I definitely felt from the guy above, especially after our the big snowstorm last week. I’m looking forward to more later.
