With grading and finals and getting ready for GPTP and the million events and blah and blah and blah, I honestly had no idea how close we were until <a href=\"http:\/\/UnhinderedByTalent.com\/WeatherGirl\">WeatherGirl<\/a> mentioned it yesterday.  Busted!<\/p>\n<p>I actually had a cool idea about two weeks ago for a present for her, but haven&#8217;t had time to follow through.  Excuses, excuses&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules.php?set_albumName=Flora&#038;op=modload&#038;name=gallery&#038;file=index&#038;include=view_album.php\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules\/gallery\/albums\/Flora\/SpringFlowersInVase.thumb.jpg?w=840\" alt=\"Spring flowers in oriental vase\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"10\" hspace=\"10\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/a>So <a href=\"http:\/\/UnhinderedByTalent.com\/SubEvilBoy\">Sub-Evil<\/a> and I whipped up a card and cut some nice (if small) wildflowers from the garden (we&#8217;re just getting our first blooms on the early stuff).  Not exactly the most memorable Mother&#8217;s Day, I&#8217;m afraid, but it is what it is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules.php?set_albumName=SuesPRCCShowOct2004&#038;op=modload&#038;name=gallery&#038;file=index&#038;include=view_album.php\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules\/gallery\/albums\/SuesPRCCShowOct2004\/IMG_2152.thumb.jpg?w=840\" alt=\"Detail from 'Frequency', Susan Gilbert, 2003\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"10\" vspace=\"10\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/a>Tomorrow (when things in Morris are open once again), Sub-Evil and I will have to conspire on a less frantic expression of our appreciation for the wonder that is WeatherGirl.  In the meantime:  WeatherGirl, you&#8217;re the best thing that ever happened to me!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules.php?set_albumName=album18&#038;op=modload&#038;name=gallery&#038;file=index&#038;include=view_album.php\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thomasmcphee.com\/html\/modules\/gallery\/albums\/album18\/MistyAndTomStLouis.thumb.jpg?w=840\" alt=\"Misty and Sub-Evil Boy\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"10\" vspace=\"10\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>And of course a big shout out to my Mom, who&#8217;s a damn cool lady.
