Some excellent tunes have wandered by, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cabaret Voltaire &#8211; Here to Go [Extended Mx]<\/strong>.  Came in in the middle of this, but it made me want to dance.  I suspect that WeatherGirl and Sub-Evil Boy would have dug it, which isn&#8217;t true of much stuff Brainwashed is likely to play :-).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Michael Prime &#8211; Timeslips<\/strong>.  Some cool ambient sound stuff.  Reminded me of several <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/\">ReR<\/a> records, including Lauren Weinger&#8217;s wonderfully atmospheric <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&#038;Product_Code=ReRLW1&#038;Category_Code=&#038;Store_Code=RM\">Silo<\/a>, Peter Cusack&#8217;s very cool (ho ho!) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&#038;Product_Code=ReRPC2&#038;Category_Code=&#038;Store_Code=RM\">Baikal Ice<\/a>, and Chris Cutler&#8217;s excellent pair <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&#038;Product_Code=ReRCC2&#038;Category_Code=&#038;Store_Code=RM\">Twice around the earth<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&#038;Store_Code=RM&#038;Product_Code=ReRCC3&#038;Category_Code=CU\">There and back again<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hox &#8211; 7f&#8217;s<\/strong>.  Some <em>wonderful<\/em> heavy-beat noise dance fun.  Sub-Evil Boy couldn&#8217;t help jamming out a bit when he wandered through with some dishes.  I could definitely imagine spending money on that&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Hafler Trio &#8211; The Closed Bread\/An Elderly Testament<\/strong>.  More cool ambient stuff, but much more constructed (vs. found) than the Michael Prime piece.  Reminds me of Tod Dockstader and David Less Myers&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&#038;Product_Code=ReRTDDM2&#038;Category_Code=&#038;Store_Code=RM\">Bijou<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/graphics\/ReRLogoOrange.jpg?w=840\" alt=\"ReR logo\" align='left' hspace='10' vspace='10' data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI quite like both Brainwashed&#8217;s radio and podcast, and have often thought that ReR really ought to do something similar.  Their music is pretty hard to conceptualize, especially if you&#8217;ve not listened to much of it before, so I think written descriptions aren&#8217;t a super effective way of conveying how cool some of it is.  A <em>podcast<\/em> on the other hand&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Sure, it would require some careful editing (lots of their releases are very long, like Fred Frith&#8217;s recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rermegacorp.com\/Merchant2\/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&#038;Product_Code=ReR%2FFRFC1&#038;Category_Code=&#038;Store_Code=RM\">Impur<\/a>, which clocks in at nearly an hour), and I&#8217;m sure they&#8217;re running on a shoestring, but Brainwashed certainly shows that it&#8217;s possible.
