Cats are strange. My 2-year-old, 15+ lb., male, professional scaredy-cat has lately been inclined to slip outside when my dad goes out. (Dad is 93, and a bit slow.) He doesn’t get far, though, he’s too scared to bolt. His stepsister, age 13, weight 5.5 lbs, half-blind, _will_ bolt out if she gets the chance. Alas, we live in a suburb where there are many roaming cats and cars to pick fights with, so our cats are indoor kitties. They insist that nobody asked _them_ if they wanted to be indoor kitties, though.
