Last night we sat down to watch Glass Eye: A Knives Out Mystery. As we had enjoyed the original story we thought we’d give this a go. What a lovely piece of fluff it was! A very enjoyable way to … Continue reading

Wonderful. From the fabulous colour palette, through the homages to classic Hollywood movies, to the dream-like quality of the story, I loved this movie. Emma Stone is definitely the star of the show, with Ryan Gosling as her dapper support, … Continue reading

Oh happy day!!!!!!! Finally, Captain America made it to Morris, mystifyingly after all the students have left town, so there won’t be much of a crowd at each show. (I just don’t understand that decision. There hasn’t exactly been the … Continue reading

Okayish. Yeah, there were problems but there were also highlights too. My two favourite characters were Finley (Zach Braff) and China Girl (Joey King). I’ve got to say I thought Zach Braff was great and I can’t say I’ve liked … Continue reading

Popcornalicious. This was an absolute hoot and exactly what was needed from a summer blockbuster: lots of energy, explody things, overthetopness, hot guys, and a complete lack of stick-up-arse, as they say in the vernacular. It made me laugh out … Continue reading

Yawn. This movie can’t quite make its mind up what it is, there’s just not enough wit involved to pull it above the mediocre level for which it has settled. The action is not quite spectacular enough to be … Continue reading

Hokum. But deliciously fun hokum. A pretty boy hero meets a spunky heroine and they do battle with a dastardly bad guy in a plot that makes absolutely no sense. Gotta say Jake Gyllenhaal is seriously hot and buff and … Continue reading
