Good. Well worth the price of the ticket. Surprisingly, not as mawkish as I was expecting and there’s some quite pointed tweaks at inappropriate white-guilt behaviour. Also a more interesting exploration of mental illness and the catastrophic effects on the … Continue reading →

Ugly. Make that very very ugly. This movie combines the absolute worst inclinations of adolescent-boy movies with the tritest of chickflick moments. It was so disappointing especially give the two leads who clearly have great chemistry if only the script … Continue reading →

Tearjerker. Definitely a two tissue box movie. A real roller coaster of emotion from sweet happy uplifting moments to heart-ringing lows. A lot better than it deserves to be though missing a certain something that would raise it’s value as … Continue reading →

Tosh. Tosh, tosh, drivel, drivel, tosh, tosh, drivel, drivel, *lol*, drivel, drivel, drivel, *lol*, utter tosh, utter drivel, ad nauseam. So, yeah, it really was that awful and I must confess we did not expect much better. Mostly we went … Continue reading →

Blargh! So I was completely underwhelmed. I know it’s based on a comic book but I still expect films, regardless of the source material, to have some depth amongst all the packaging. Even if they’re only hidden depths! This was … Continue reading →
