Perhaps Shrub should demonstrate he’s not illiterate and read the Convention<\/a> for himself. It’s not difficult and is quite straightforward.<\/p>\n
He might pay particular attention to Article 11 since he seems to be having a problem with that one.<\/p>\n
For those who think American’s should just ignore anything generated by the United Nations (c\/o Amnesty International USA<\/a>)<\/p>\n
The United States ratified the Convention against Torture in October 1994. The Convention entered into force for the United States on November 20, 1994.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If signatories to such an important document can’t be bothered to respect it where is the higher moral ground?<\/p>\n
